Frequently asked questions

Can it open large JSON files?
Yes. Files with tens of thousands of lines open almost instantly, and files of around 100,000 lines still work well.
How do I find the path to a value?
Search for the key or value to see where it sits in the tree. To pull values out with an expression, such as $.users[*].name, use the JSONPath Tester.
Can I view JSON from a CSV, YAML or XML file?
Yes. Convert it with the CSV, YAML or XML converter, then click Open in Format & View to see the result as a tree.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The viewer runs in your browser, and the JSON you paste is never sent to a server.
